The Algebra Research Group focuses on the representation theory of finite groups and its modern categorical extensions. A central theme is the theory of biset functors — a framework that encodes the interplay between finite groups via the operations of induction, restriction, inflation, deflation, and isomorphism — together with their applications to block theory, fusion systems, and the study of module categories.
